China’s energy policy is shaped by a variety of concerns: economic development, abatement of air pollution, energy security, and decarbonization. We examine the technological advancements and market and governance reforms that will accelerate China’s clean energy transition, as well as opportunities for U.S.-China collaboration on climate change.
