Call Radical Islam by Name to Win War of Ideas

On Sunday in Orlando, America suffered the worst terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11. This time, the terrorist, who proclaimed allegiance to ISIS and invoked the names of the Boston Marathon bombers, specifically targeted his victims for whom they loved. And yet, once again, our president and many other leaders refuse to utter the name "radical Islamic terror," often focusing the discussion instead on a failure to institute gun control reforms.

To ignore the role of radical Islam in causing the deaths of these members of the LGBT community is akin to ignoring the role of neo-Nazism and racism in contributing to the deaths in the Charleston church shooting in South Carolina. The shooter in the former case was a radical Islamic terrorist. The shooter in the latter case was a neo-Nazi racist, who faced federal hate crimes charges. These were atrocities inspired by hateful ideologies that need to be properly identified, combatted, and defeated to prevent future attacks....
