The American Academy of Arts and Sciences is hosting

a discussion on Populism and the Future of American Politics, which will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the House of the Academy following a brief reception at 5:00 p.m.

This program brings together leading experts—some of whom you may know quite well—to discuss how topics such as race, inequality, and misinformation have shaped and continue to shape American politics. Additional programmatic details can be found via the online registration page for this event.

Lawrence D. Bobo (W.E. B. Du Bois Professor of the Social Sciences, Harvard University), Jennifer Hochschild (Henry LaBarre Jayne Professor of Government and Professor of African and African American Studies, Harvard University), and Charles Stewart III (Kenan Sahin Distinguished Professor of Political Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology) will lead this discussion.

All participants are asked to register online by Thursday, October 27. For questions, please contact the Academy at mevents@amacad.org.
