Biography

Andreas Zombanakis is an investment banker and entrepreneur based in Athens, Greece. He co-founded Vector Partners in 2006, a leading independent corporate finance adviser which has worked on transactions involving major multinationals in Greece and the surrounding region. In 2007 he co-founded Enexon SA, a leading developer, owner and operator of Photovoltaic plants in Greece, which was sold in 2011 to ENEL SpA, the Italian state utility. He is also Chairman and CEO of TANEO SA, the Hellenic Republic's Fund of Funds for investments in the "New Economy".

Prior to moving to Greece in 2006, he spent 18 years at Bankers Trust/ Deutsche Bank in London and was involved in a number of areas including leveraged finance, was part of a team that developed credit derivatives in the early 90s and was a founder partner of DB's Private Equity division, DB Capital Partners.

Andreas serves on the Boards of a number of NGOs in Greece involved in arts & education, the environment, children with disabilities and the Patriarchate of Constantinople. He was formerly on the Board of United Biscuits plc and was Chairman of the Hellenic Bankers Association (UK) for a number of years.

Andreas has a BA from Harvard, a Master's of Architecture from the School of Fine Arts of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Wharton.
