Biography

Gideon Argov is an Advisory Director of Berkshire Partners, a private equity firm based in Boston. He is also a General Partner of New Era Capital Partners, a double bottom line venture growth fund headquartered in Tel Aviv. From 2004 to 2012 he was President and CEO of Entegris, a global supplier of products used in the production of high technology components and substrates. From 2001 to 2004 he was a Managing Director of Parthenon Capital, a private equity partnership based in Boston. From 1991 to 2000 he was Chairman, President and CEO of Kollmorgen Corporation, a supplier of high performance electronic motion control products.

Mr. Argov is an International director of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) in Herzliya, Israel. He is the founder of the Shlomo Argov Fellows program for leadership in the public sector at IDC Herzliya in Israel and a director of Pnima, an Israel-based non-profit dedicated to fostering social cohesion. He is also a trustee of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Gideon serves as director of several private companies. He is a member of the International Council at the Belfer Center.

Mr. Argov served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces for four years. He graduated from Harvard University (Economics, magna cum laude) and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
